The ArcGIS Online Update for June 2018 has arrived. There are many new features including an improved Organisation page, new smart mapping styles, authoritative items and the new ArcGIS Companion app.

As winter finally gives way, the spring update to ArcGIS Online arrives. With it comes new functions to help organise and find your content, using categories. There are also improvements in 3D and new data management options. 

ArcGIS is an API

Most organisations using ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise have no idea they already have a rich modern API on to their data and services. Many in the public sector have active Open Data programmes working out how to publish their Open Data (spatial and non-spatial) over an API - without being aware they are already doing it!
