Authoritative Natural England Open Data Services Now in ArcGIS Online

Open Data 2.0 Has Arrived!

ArcGIS Online gets high resolution elevation data for England and Wales

Last autumn the Lidar data captured by the Environment agency of England and Natural Resources Wales were released as open data, collectively covering 70% of England and Wales. This amazing data resource has now been incorporated into the Esri World Elevation services, by including data from the Lidar derived DTM (bare earth).

Another leap for ArcGIS Online

The next update to ArcGIS Online is planned for 29th February. There are new features for smart mapping, 3D web apps and analysis. Along with more flexibility for administering ArcGIS Online there is also a new a way to login using a Facebook or Google account.

The November updates make it easier to tell stories.

As well as a bunch of improvements and some new features in the November update of ArcGIS Online, there were also some changes to the story map tools. These are focused on making it easier to create your story map.
